Supporting Millmerran's people and places

Building a Stronger Millmerran

The Millmerran Community Foundation (MCF) is a not-for-profit organisation created to ensure that future development in our region delivers meaningful, lasting benefits to our community.

The Foundation exists to act as the custodian of the Millmerran Community Social Impact Assessment and to manage a centralised community benefit fund.

Who we are

The Millmerran Community Foundation is governed by five board members who bring a broad range of perspectives and grounded local knowledge:

  • Sheryle Rogers
  • Matt Clark
  • Graham O’Sullivan
  • Maria Oliver
  • John Rogers

We are currently sourcing an independent chair. The Foundation operates independently under an open and transparent constitution.

We are still in our early days and are looking forward to working with all our community organisations, service providers and residents to ensure that growth strengthens, not strains, our community.

Our mission

To provide philanthropic support to the Millmerran community, and its organisations, to improve community resilience and viability, while enhancing the lives of its residents.

Why we formed the MCF?

Throughout the development of the Millmerran Community Social Impact Assessment, it became clear that our community needed a central, trusted body to help bring these ideas to life.

Our vision is to keep the community at the centre of planning decisions and ensure outcomes reflect what locals value.

We are by the community for the community – today and tomorrow.

What is the Millmerran Community Social Impact Assessment?

The Social Impact Assessment (SIA) is an independent report that looks at the likely social consequences of large-scale developments in the Millmerran region. Developed in consultation with local residents, the SIA provides a roadmap for managing future growth in a way that protects our town’s unique character and community wellbeing.

C Change Sustainable Solutions was engaged to develop the assessment.
